Magi: Not a magician 6 (Judal x Reader)

6. No more fire

Some minutes passed and you were finally breathing calmly. Judal was sitting on the bed’s edge, twirling his wand in the hands. You looked at his bare back, long, dark hair and strong arms. Day by day he seemed more and more attractive for you.

Suddenly he stood up and walked towards the door.

Fire.
Black birds.

“Judal!” You cried as you stood up and caught his arm. He stopped, so you hid your face between his shoulder blades. “Don’t leave me, please…”

He glanced over his shoulder and frowned.
“You dream about those things since  being a child. Shouldn’t you resign yourself to fate?”

You froze, but then quickly stood in front of him.
“I don’t think that you’re the best person to say so.” You looked into his eyes and took a deep breath. “It was YOU who took me from my home, it was YOU who decided to take care of me, so DO what I’m asking for!”

You were sure that Judal will kill you. At least just hurt you. That he will use his wand to make you shout, make you suffer. He moved his hand, so you closed your eyes, hiding your head in the shoulders. But no hit came. Instead of, you heard him laughing. You opened one eye to see him wiping his tears away and leaning against you. He patted your head and said:

“Well, I thought that you’re an innocent and weak crybaby, but it seems that you can be also stubborn, huh!”

You swallowed and bit your tongue.
“Will you stay with me?” You asked again. He sighed and put his hand on your back, pushing you on bed. You sat on it and watched as Magi put his wand on the floor and laid next to you.

“Don’t you try to kick me out of the bed!” he warned you and closed his eyes.

“Judal, this pillow is not only yours.” You noticed as he took it all for him. He growled and moved his head just a bit, so you sighed and placed your head on the pillow’s edge. It wasn’t comfortable, so you moved closer to Judal, your cheeks touching each other.

“I’m not a pillow.” Judal murmured.

“I’m not going to use you as a pillow.”

“What a pity…”

“What?!”

“Sleep.”

“Ouch! You hit my stomach!”

“I wanted to move my hand. Huh? What is it?”

You felt his fingers on your neck, moving up and down. You also touched it and felt a node. You didn’t remember any happening which could leave a scar on your neck. Judal leaned on his arm and had a closer look. You blushed, but because of the darkness he couldn’t see it.

“It’s really wide… What have you done to yourself?” He asked, taking his wand and lighting your skin. “Have you ever had a dealings with a fire? Real fire, not in your dreams?”

You shook your head. “Never” you whispered. Judal cursed and the darkness surrounded you again. Then he seized you by the arm, drawing you close.

He fell asleep long after you had done so.

You looked in the mirror and touched the node. It was still here, but smaller than before. You furrowed your eyebrows together and turned around.

“This scar will be noticeable in this dress.” You said and pointed the white, long dress without sleeves. Kougyoku pouted and took another one from her wardrobe.

“Maybe this one…?” she gave it to you and sat on the chair. You wore it and looked in  the mirror again. “Better.” The princess said. You nodded and straighten the bow on your back.

It was your third day in Kou and you were already friends with Kougyoku. She was really shy at the beginning as well as you were, but thanks to Kouha you liked each other. Though Kouha claimed that he did nothing.

“I’m really curious how it did happen that Judal took you here.” Kougyoku helped you with a necklace  and took the cute earring for you.

“I told him about my nightmares. Well, he made the decision so suddenly…” You wore the earrings and looked at your reflection. You have never looked so beautifully in your life. Kougyoku clapped.

“I always knew that he has a gentle heart!” She chuckled and buckled a hairpin in your bun.

Suddenly the door flew open and you turned around to see Judal.

“Here you are!” He was irritated, so you moved closer to Kougyoku. She frowned.

“You should have knocked first!” She said. Judal raised his eyebrow.

“Why? There was no information on the door.”

“Because we were changing clothes. (Name) could be naked!”

You kicked princess’ leg and glared at Judal. Magi’s smile was definitely too synonymous.
“It would be a nice view.” He admitted and stepped forward.

“Not for me.” You snorted.

Kougyoku giggled and winked to Judal.
“We’re already finished. You can take (Name) now.”

“What?!” You couldn’t believe your ears. “You traitor!”

Judal cleared his throat and put his arm around you.
“Okay than, see you later, Old Hag!” He didn’t let you go, so you went out, leaving smiling princess alone in her room. Too many synonymous smiles this day.

“Where are we going?” you asked as you were walking down the corridor.

“The first prince wants to talk with you. How’s your neck?” He asked briefly, seeming not interested in it at all.

“It’s smaller, but I don’t dream about fire anymore. Like… this scar stopped it.”

He tightened his fingers on your arms and pushed to the wall.

“(Name), don’t try to tell anyone about it. There’s something weird with you. Something’s changing, so shut your mouth and make sure that no one knows about your fucking nightmares.”

“Kougyoku knows already.” You swallowed as he leaned against you, only inches between your faces.

“So I’ll talk with her. I hate when someone leads a merry dance, so you’d better not be this someone.”

You could feel his breath on your cheeks, his warm, his look on you and only you… You nodded, blushing.

“I’ll be good, I promise.”

He let you go and went towards the Kouen quickly. You bit your lower lip and followed him.
